How old do you have to be to rent a hotel in Italy

How old do you have to be to rent a hotel in Italy?
A friend and I are planning to go spend a week in Italy after we graduate high school. I went on Expedia.com, and it says that no one 18 and under can reserve rooms. We'll both just be 18 by the time we're planning to go. We're trying to find a package under 3k that includes our flight and hotel room. Help?

You may wish to try booking through a travel agency that specializes in youth travel. A good one is STA Travel, which has offices near colleges all over the world. If anything, their knowledgeable travel agents are more familiar with the travel concerns of young travelers than a typical travel agency. Visit www.statravel.org or call their toll-free number at 800.781.4040. If you have a valid credit card, however, you should have no trouble booking a hotel room. (You probably don't want the expense of "renting a hotel" though!) By the way, if you are going to all the trouble and expense of visiting Europe, you should really extend your stay for more than a week to take full advantage of your vacation investment. You will lose two or three days of that week just in travel. (It takes two days to get to Europe unless you live in a gateway city such as Houston, L.A., New York, Chicago, etc.) Bon voyage!

18. go to BookMe. You can compare prices on all the major travel sites from one location. It's the only way you can guarantee the cheapest prices online.
