ok... in italy we haven't got only an high school as in the US or in the UK... we've got different schools: an artistic high school, linguistic high school... schools where you study science and maths, I.T. ... generally we go to school 5 days a week, but in some schools (as in artistic or linguistic) 6 days a week. school starts at 8.00/8.30 and it finishes at 13.00/14.00. about dress code: here we wear all what we want there aren't uniforms... i don't know the percentage of people who goes to work or to university.

In Italy school year is from about 10 September to about 10 June, it depends on regions and can vary from year to year. There are two weeks holidays near Christmas and one week near Easter, plus some random year for religious or civil festivities. For high school there are some different types, each one has its own characteristic education system, but you can consider generally 32 hours a week, in 6 days. Italian high school types are: Liceo classico, liceo scientifico, liceo linguistico, liceo artistico, istituto tecnico commerciale, istituto tecnico industriale, istituto tecnico agrario, istituto tecnico per geometri. After highschool what is the percentage of people go to work after highschool and how many people go to college? the percentage vary for each type of school, post "liceo" the most go to university, post "istituto tecnico" the percentage vary from 30 to 60.
