What kind of clothing is normal for a high school girl to wear in the general Italy, like is jeans and t-shirts okay, or something more sophisticated? Also, is body image at the utmost importance? And do most schools require uniforms, and if you don't speak Italian that well, and you're american, will it be like social suicide?? Basically, is Italy accepting?

Well I'm Italian and i can say....yes, jeans and t-shirts are ok but we are also in love with labels. For an average Italian teen it is important to follow fashion. We have some clothes and shoes that are a "must". Not many schools require uniforms, you can wear what you want (of course you can't wear a shoooooooort skirt or tops). Not speaking well italian isn't a problem at all. Personally I love Americans that speak italian :)
